John M. Wood, Principal . An experienced attorney is usually the difference between an outcome that is satisfactory and one that is not. John M. Wood, a child of divorce himself, is particularly attuned to providing you with exceptional results. As a result, you and your family can emerge intact from what can be a wrenching process. Devoted almost exclusively to matrimonial law, Wood is a graduate of Georgetown University Law School. His experience providing results for thousands of clients inspired Wood to author two books, "The Successful Divorce" and "Saving Your Assets When You Can't Save Your Marriage" (co-authored with Paul B. Shaw), with his third book, "More Successful Divorce", to be released in January, 2005. Outside his practice, Mr. Wood has served as Chairman of the Family Law Section of the Alabama State Bar, and on the Fee Arbitration Committee of the Birmingham Bar Association. He was selected to the Birmingham Business Journal's Top 40 Under 40, a listing of the most outstanding young civic and business leaders. He is also a member of the American Bar Association's Family Law and Litigation Sections. Mr. Wood is an avid supporter of The Big Oak Ranch Children's Home and other charitable organizations.
